Masterlock – Black and White Photo

Shot with the Olympus OM-D EM-5 and the Tokina SZ-X 630 60-300mm f4-5.6 for Canon FD

I was cleaning the cabinet at the office when I saw these pile keys on a small container. What a great time to test the so called macro capability of the Tokina SZ-X 630 60-300mm that I just bought.  Using  the FD to micro four thirds adapter, I mounted it on my OM-D EM-5 and took a couple of samples, but it’s not true macro, I can’t get close enough, so I use my Raynox DCR 250 and attached it in front of the Tokina 60-300mm and came up with this . (You can read the short review I did on the Raynox DCR 250 a while back.)

I also wanted to show more details and emphasize the MASTERLOCK on the lettering on the key so I used my favorite Photoshop plugin Topaz Detail to bring out the details I wanted.  If you haven’t use Topaz Details before, give it a try, you’ll like it, you can download a free, fully functional 30 day trial here. You can also check out my favorite Photoshop plugins in my plugin page.
