I Did It

I Did It
Originally uploaded by sweetspot@f8

It was a hot Sunday afternoon, April 26, 2009. I was walking around the Washington Monument when I spotted this guy, who look drunk in the middle of the day. He yelled to be photographed when he saw me taking pictures of the performers. The moment I pointed my camera at him he yelled I Did It while raising his hands. He gave me a thumbs up afterwards, then left.

Friendship, Brotherhood, Priceless

Lately, I have been going through my library of year old images. This is the first photo that caught my eye. This photo was taken at Arlington Memorial in Washington DC. This sample video was produced with the free subscription package to animoto.com. With the free subscription, I was able create this 30 second video slideshow of my flickr images, but that’s about it. It won’t allow me change the speed of the slideshow, to do that and a lot of other things that I need to produced a good video or slideshow I have to upgrade to the paid subscription of $30/yr.

Book Recommendation:
Here is a great book by David duChemin. I just got mine a few days ago and after reading just the first few pages I can tell that this book can really change my vision on how I approach my photography. It’s not a book that discusses technical aspect of photography, this one focusses on inspiration, it digs deep into your inner soul so you can have a better vision. Well, that’s just me. if you are looking for a book that will teach you the basics of photography like aperture or shutter speeds, this is not the book for you. Continue Reading…
