Statue of Benjamin Franklin

This statue of Benjamin Franklin stands on a pedestal in front of the Old Post Office Pavilion on the corner of 12th Street NW and Pennsylvania Avenue NW. It was sculpted in 1889 by Jacques Jouvenal. Franklin's statue was placed in front of the Old Post Office building because he was also a postmaster, appointed by King George III before the Revolutionary War.[via Waymarking]

The HDR photo above was taken using my old 10.1mp Canon EOS Rebel XS and a Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 SP VC .

I took a total of 4 frames and merge them using Photomatix Pro 4. I also use the photoshop plugin Topaz Adjust to bring out more detail into the image.
