The Canon EF 400mm F/5.6L also works great when use with other nature subjects such as this. It was raining and I didn’t want to go outside, so from my deck, I was able to photograph the rain and the flower. The EF 400mm F/5.6L can be great in decreasing depth of field with a combination of subject and a pleasing background free from destruction, you can end up with excellent results. In the photo above, the green background from the trees provided was really pleasing to the eyes and the far distance of the flower from the background gave it a shallower depth of field.
