This was my first attempt to photograph birds, this was taken December of 2009. That day when I went out, my only intentions are to take bird photos. I just got the Canon EF 70-210mm F/4 lens and really wanted to try it out. I used to have a Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro, but didn’t get a chance to shoot bird photos with it.
At first I was skeptic on using this 70-210mm for taking bird photos, mainly because it’s slow to focus, but with a lot of patience and a little training, I was able to get some really nice shots and this is the first one and my favorite. I converted it to black and white and added a liitle softness for a dreamy effect.
Taken with a Canon Rebel XS with the EF 70-210mm F/4 Macro Lens at 210mm, on Shutter Priority with a shutter speed of 1/400 and an Aperture of F/4 and ISO of 100. Converted to Black and White using Adobe Lightroom 2.7
You can view some other photos taken with the EF 70-210mm here.
