Grab Shots With My New Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 Di SP Macro Lens

Today I got my new Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 Di SP Macro Lens for Canon. Here are a few grab shots. I must say, I'm really impress with the lens, optically it is an excellent performer. Build quality is on the high, made of hard plastic but very well built.

The Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 Di SP Macro Lens is not heavy, way lighter than my Canon EF 70-200mm F/4L IS. Now about the autofocus, it's not really slow, it's just that it has no focus limiter, travel time takes a hit so what I do is give it a little help by manually focusing on the subject then switch back to auto and Walla!!! Focus is tack sharp and accurate. Thanks to the focus clutch mechanism switching from auto to manual focus is a breeze.

Bokeh on this lens is really sweet like a cream pie. I think I'm going to like this lens, the 180mm focal length is just the perfect lens for wildlife macro nature photography. The 180mm focal length gives me the working distance advantage and the small angle of view provides a clean background and really smooth bokeh.

I will try to write a review of the Tamron AF 180mm f/3.5 Di SP A/M FEC LD (IF) 1:1 Macro Lens as soon as I find some free time.
