Tuag At Y Golau (Towards The Light)” By Ian Morris Jones (I.M.J)

The title is in Welsh, and means ‘towards the light’. The beach is one of my favorite places. Two abandoned boats lie here. The one you see is only accessible at low tide. That morning, I was up at 4 a.m. to take a short drive from my house, followed by a 15 minute walk, to get to the boat. It remains one of my favoite photos to date.

I started taking pictures when I was 16, but left my hobby alone after finishing college. The interest was rekindled on my 40th birthday with my first digital s.l.r. Then, in August 2010, I upgraded my camera to a Canon 7D with Canon’s 10-22mm lens. With my new gear, I have started taking landscapes of the Isle of Anglesey, off the coast of North Wales. I hope to continue with this project for the forseeable future. Anglesey has many beautiful locations, with the four seasons each bringing their own light in turn.

Oh my goodness, Ian. This image is spectacular! The clarity is really gorgeous..in the reflection, it’s extremely impressive. You even caught a glint of the magic light there. Easily a fave. Very nice work.

When I photographed this old wreck it was a dull overcast and drizzling day so I had to be content with a detail shot ….Got absolutely drenched through as a result ! This image of yours is an absolute cracker ….Well done….Shall have a closer look at your stream tonight….
