I’m Glad I have Glad in the kitchen. During rainy season or any season, it’s always a good idea to have a ziplock or glad freezer bags in your camera bag. You can use it to cover your camera and lens from rain, just cut a hole on the other end, and you now have a water resistant protective rain cover for your camera.
But remember, it’s not sealed, it’s not water proof, and you cannot use it in soaking rain, but in moderate rain, it can surely help you get the job done. Continue reading »

It has been more than three months since I got this lens last december, and the more I use this lens, the more I like it. I mentioned before that I will replace it, when i have the money to upgrade, but now, I decided, I’ll keep it. This lens gave me a chance to save my money so I can get the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM.
The EF 70-210mm F4 Macro, is a good lens, it has good optics. If only it has usm and Image stabilizer, it can be a great performer. Just like any other non stablized lens, you will need a tripod or monopod with this lens. It can be pretty challenging when you use a non stabilized lens indoors and in low light situations, that’s why I always carry my Manfrotto 680B Monopod with Vanguard SBH-300 Ballhead

A couple of days after I got my new Canon EF 70-210mm F4 lens, I decided to give it a test. This bird was one of the first 5 shots I took with the new lens. I noticed that she was just standing there on top of the snow and not moving, a few seconds after I took the photo she flew away, as if she just waited for me to take the shot.
This is the original uncropped version of this photo

This is the old lens from the 80s that I just both from ebay for $175.00. It’s the Canon EF 70-210mm F4. Amazingly it’s still in pretty good condition both in functionality and appearance and it still has the Passed JCII sticker attached. It looks awesome. Here are some images of the lens attached to my Canon Rebel XS
Here are some recent photos of the EF 70-210mm F/4 Macro.
