Fake Demb DYI -The Main IngredientsRecently I came across the Demb flash diffuser while reading a review of the best flash diffuser over at photo-tips-online.com. After seeing the Demb diffuser at the top of the list, I went to Amazon to see how much it costs and, to my surprise, found that Amazon, Adorama and B&H don’t sell it. The only way to purchase it is from Joe Demb’s site. I then decided to try my hand at making this diffuser myself. The total cost of mine is $0, while the real thing costs about $40.

DIY L Bracket-03159

This is the DIY L-Plate I made for my Canon Rebel XS. For those who are not familiar with an L-Plate. An L Plate will allow the photographer to mount the camera vertically. You can switch between horizontal and vertical without recomposing.

Authentic L-Plates from the top manufacturers, costs around $120 to $199, I couldn’t see myself spending that much for an L-Bracket.

DIY DSLR Lens Rain Coat-18

I’m Glad I have Glad in the kitchen. During rainy season or any season, it’s always a good idea to have a ziplock or glad freezer bags in your camera bag. You can use it to cover your camera and lens from rain, just cut a hole on the other end, and you now have a water resistant protective rain cover for your camera.

But remember, it’s not sealed, it’s not water proof, and you cannot use it in soaking rain, but in moderate rain, it can surely help you get the job done.
