Full Moon June 2, 2012 10:57PM Canon EF 400mm F/5.6L

Shot this last night, thank goodness it wasn't raining and the sky was really clear. Lookint at the moon on it's brightest is really captivating.

At a full moon, the earth, moon, and sun are in approximate alignment, just as the new moon, but the moon is on the opposite side of the earth, so the entire sunlit part of the moon is facing us. The shadowed portion is entirely hidden from view. Via MoonConection
