I have another lens for sale for those interested. This is also from a friend of mine from Indianapolis, IN. He is selling his lightly use Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS kit. It is in excellent like new condition.

You can contact me at the email address below or post a comment if you are interested.

You can also call me using the call button below. Thank you.

Short Description :
In response to demands of photographers, this standard zoom lens is designed with Canon’s Optical Image Stabilizer technology while retaining the compactness and lightness of previous models. Its stabilization allows sharp hand-held shots at shutter speeds up to four stops slower than otherwise possible. It consists of 11 elements in 9 groups and uses an Aspherical lens element to correct aberration for excellent image quality throughout the zoom range and a circular aperture for exquisite rendering of out-of-focus backgrounds. Without a lot of size, weight or cost, this lens expands picture-taking possibilities any time slow shutter speeds are needed.

I wonder why some people complain about dust issues with the EF-S 17-55mm F/2.8 IS USM.  I have not seen even one photo of it. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think it’s fairly common for zoom lenses specially these consumer grade lenses to have a tiny dust specs inside. I don’t own the EF-S 17-55 F/2.8 but I have read a lot of good reviews and seen photos taken  with this lens, it’s a great lens, but still a consumer EF-S grade lens.

Frogga

For the past several months now I have been contemplating on getting the EF 70-200mm F/4L IS USM, but everytime I try to buy it, there’s still the feeling of hesitation, most likely because of the price, and the $500 EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Don’t get me wrong, the Ef 70-300mm was my first choice, but I thought to myself, if I get the 70-300mm now and then upgrade later to a ef 70-200mm is such a waste of money. The very reason I saved up and I waited this long so that I can get the 70-200mm F/4L IS USM.

Colors-2, originally uploaded by sweetspot@f8.

Taken with my Canon Rebel XS 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS SLR Lens, in Aperture Priority Mode set at F/5.6 at 43mm using ISO 100. With my Aperture set at F/5.6, the camera automatically set the Shutter Speed to 1/13 of a second, which cause this spinning colorful windmills to look blurry. A slow shutter speed are selected to show the motion or movement in a still photograph of a moving subject, while a fast shutter speed can cause a moving subject to appear frozen.

Also with the help of image stabilization i was able to use take this photo even at a slow shutter speed of 1/13.

Have you guys seen this? Canon Lens Mug??? From CanonMugs dot Com. The thing is I’m not so sure if this site is for real or a scam, there are no contact info whatsoever on the sellers site. The seems suspicios and there are no news about this Canon Lens Mugs on the canon usa website.
