For the past several months now I have been contemplating on getting the EF 70-200mm F/4L IS USM, but everytime I try to buy it, there’s still the feeling of hesitation, most likely because of the price, and the $500 EF 70-300mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Don’t get me wrong, the Ef 70-300mm was my first choice, but I thought to myself, if I get the 70-300mm now and then upgrade later to a ef 70-200mm is such a waste of money. The very reason I saved up and I waited this long so that I can get the 70-200mm F/4L IS USM.

I might give it more a little more time. For those people who are in the same situation as I am now, here’s is a great comparison between the two lenses that I found at pbase.com.

By the way, last year, I bought the EF 70-210mm F/4 for $149 from ebay so that I can have a good telephoto while I saved up for the ef 70-200mm F/4L IS USM
